Who is Phil Bacerra?
Phil Bacerra is a dynamic problem solver with many years of experience in urban planning, zoning, land use policy, public administration, and government relations.
Mr. Bacerra has utilized his experience in long range and current planning to secure a wide range of entitlements and permits. He has also composed zoning and development policy for numerous jurisdictions.
Mr. Bacerra has worked for various municipal agencies, such as the Southern California Association of Governments, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the City of Los Angeles, and the City of Westminster.
The Santa Ana City Council voted unanimously to appoint Mr. Bacerra to the Santa Ana Planning Commission. He has also served two terms as an appointed member of the Orange County Transportation Authority’s Citizens Advisory Committee.
Mr. Bacerra is a graduate of the University of Southern California's Sol Price School of Public Policy.
Mr. Bacerra was born and raised in Orange County, California. He is a graduate of Santiago High School in Garden Grove. Mr. Bacerra has resided in the city of Santa Ana for over a decade.
