California Produces The Most Solar Wattage In the United States

From the Sierra Club – The New York Times recently released a list of the top 10 solar-power states, using data from the Solar Energy Industries Association.

Sun-drenched California took the number-one spot, with 47% of the nation’s solar wattage. Thanks to a state mandate and a $515-million investment, New Jersey took second, proving that a reputation of endless sunshine isn’t a prerequisite for solar-energy gains.
