Please contribute and support Santa Ana’s Annie Mae Tripp Southwest Community Center after Monday night fire

December 15, 2009

On Monday evening, a fire swept through the storage patio of the Annie Mae Tripp Southwest Community Center in Santa Ana.

The fire destroyed hundreds of crates of food the center had set aside for meals for the needy and for a holiday party this weekend. The fire also burned about 100 stockings filled with small gifts, such as socks and toiletries, for poor seniors and children.

From December 15 – 18, the Orange County United Way will take donations for the center of the following items:

– Canned Food for food baskets (corn, beans, rice, tuna, etc.)
– Clothing for men, women and children
– Blankets
– New, unwrapped toys for children aged 0 – 12

The Orange County United Way is located at 18012 Mitchell Avenue South in Irvine.  It is accessible by OCTA Route 76.

I hope that you will please help those in our community who are most in need this holiday season.
