Tell the OCTA Board to reconsider 300,000 hours in cuts to OC bus service
From TransitRiderOC – Attend the OCTA Board Meeting on Monday, November 9, 2009 at 9 am.
This meeting is at OCTA Headquarters, 600 S Main Street, just south of La Veta, in Orange.
OCTA staff recommends that the Board continue to cut 150,000 more hours, instead of the originally proposed 300,000 hours, on top of the 233,000 hours of service cuts so far. This could still mean the termination of bus routes throughout Orange County, including elimination of 24-hour Night Owl service. We need you, your friends, and co-workers to come send OCTA a strong message to stop the cuts. The Transit Advocates of Orange County will even bring refreshments to get your energy pumped up.
If you can’t attend, please call the board at these phone numbers (on http://www.transitrideroc.com), contact the Clerk of the Board Wendy Knowles at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (714) 560-5676. Tell OCTA to use the money they already have to stop cuts to your buses.
